The Damned? Covering The Stooges? Recorded live for the radio in 1977, when they had just released their epic Damned Damned Damned and Punk was taking the airwaves? Folks, if any part of this doesn’t sound fucking amazing to you, you’re probably following the wrong blog.
Memo for all you Damned fanatics: This is taken from the three-disc 30th Anniversary Expanded Edition of that first Damned album, which includes a honkin’ fuck-ton of B-sides and live recordings, not to mention a bootleg recording of the very first Damned concert. For my money, it’s a much better purchase than the Play It At Your Sister box set. I don’t often spend what little money I have on this Special Edition crap, of course, but The Damned are one of those bands I have an unhealthy obsession with. Can you blame me?
